[accordion_toggle title=”Composite Resin Filling“]A composite resin filling (also known as a bonded filling, or a tooth colored filling) is the primary restoration used here at East Bradford Dental when it comes to small fillings and cavities.  This type of filling has been gaining popularity in recent decades due to its lack of mercury content and its superior aesthetics.  It can be used in many different instances like restoring teeth in the back to closing spaces in the front.  You can learn more by clicking the watch video link to watch a short tutorial……. [accordion_toggle title=”Amalgam Filling“]Amalgam Fillings (or silver fillings) are rarely used here at this office.  When we are unable to obtain dry conditions needed for a bonded filling then we will use Amalgam as it is the better restorative choice.  Amalgam fillings are made up of an alloy containing different metals.  This filling material does contain Mercury, yet after much study it has been deemed to be completely safe by the ADA.  You can learn more by clicking the read more hyperlink…….[read_more text=”Read more” title=”Read More…” url=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amalgam_(dentistry)” align=”right” target=”_blank”][/accordion_toggle]
[accordion_toggle title=”Dental Implants“]A dental Implant is a single restoration that replaces a missing tooth. Dental Implants are usually made of titanium. They are widely accepted as the treatment of choice to replace a missing tooth, as they do not involve the surrounding teeth unlike a dental bridge. We restore all types of implants here at this office after they have been placed by an Oral Surgeon. You can learn more by clicking the watch video link to watch a short tutorial……. [accordion_toggle title=”Crowns“]Crowns (or Caps) are frequently used here at this office to restore broken down teeth that do not have enough healthy tooth structure to support a bonded filling. Crowns are also recommended after a root canal has been completed to protect the tooth from fracturing in the future. We use very reputable labs to fabricate our crowns and they are some of the longest lasting restorations we do in dentistry. [accordion_toggle title=”Bridges“]A Dental Bridge can be an alternative to implants when trying to replace a missing tooth. Teeth adjacent to the space are then prepared so that the dental bridge can use these teeth as support abutments for the restoration. The missing tooth is fused to these abutments. The restoration is typically made of porcelain fused to a metal substructure. [accordion_toggle title=”Veneers“]Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are permanently cemented to your teeth, usually in the front or anterior area of the mouth. They are used in situations where people are unhappy with the shade (or color) of their teeth, to close spaces, or even alter the shape of their teeth for a aesthetic purposes. These restorations are minimally invasive and preserve much of the supporting tooth structure. You can learn more by clicking the watch video link to watch a short tutorial…….
